The mission of HYPE Robotics can be found in its name: Helping Youth Pursue Excellence in Robotics. We are committed to sharing our passion for science, technology, engineering and math with area youth and their families. We strive to develop & support new and existing FIRST robotics teams for children ages 6 to 18.

HYPE Robotics is the organizational hub supporting seven school-based FLL Jr teams at Oaks Montessori School and five community-based FIRST robotics teams: 3 FLL Jr teams, a FLL and one FTC team. Located in Tangipahoa Parish in southeast Louisiana, HYPE is owned and operated by FIRST coaches, Jean & Ben Williams. We maintain a close working relationship with Hammond High Magnet School's FRC team Torbotics #2080 who have been instrumental in establishing FIRST teams in our area. We are active members of the Tangi STEM Coallition and are collaborative partners in creating Tangipahoa's first Mobile STEM Lab.

The 2016-2017 Bayou Builders (FLL #4043) are the inspiration behind HYPE Robotics' formation. Team expansion was made possible thru a grant provided by DOW Chemical.
